Vulnerability and Gratitude

Vulnerability

What to do: In your change journal, write down some thoughts about and answer these questions:

  • Have you felt vulnerable at any stage of your change journey? How? What emotions and feelings did you have?

  • How much do you think you generally allow yourself to feel vulnerable, and to express your vulnerability?

  • What are your thoughts and feelings about vulnerability being a strength?

  • How do you think that allowing yourself to feel more vulnerable may help you, particularly when you’re trying – and struggling – to make an important change?

  • Do you think that embracing and expressing your vulnerability will help or hinder you in your current or future change journeys? Why?

  • How are you feeling about being (more) vulnerable in the future, especially when things aren’t going as well as you hoped they would?
