Step 3: Competing commitments
Look at the list of “things you do, or don’t do, instead.”
What to do: For each item, ask yourself: “what am I afraid would happen if I changed it and did the opposite?” Then write your answers down on a new page.
Going with the same examples, if you stopped spending money on new clothes, maybe you’re scared that you wouldn’t look good. If you put your kids before your clients, you might worry that you’ll fall behind on your work.
